The law says: During cold weather, a dog shelter must have a windbreak at its entrance and have bedding material that is sufficient to protect the animal from cold and promote the retention of body heat.

Notes: Magnum is a 1-2 year old brindle and white male Pitbull/Mastiff. He came to us a stray that no one claimed. He is a very sweet and eager to please. We feel he would do best in a home with kids over 10 since he does not know how big he is and could accidentally knock over small kids. Magnum was picked up with a smaller female dog who has since found her forever home, and while they got along it is unknown how he will do with other dogs, but we can set up a meet and greet with any potential fur siblings. Magnum cannot live in a home with feline friends, and that is non-negotiable. He walks well on a leash, sits for treatos, is housebroken, loves belly rubs, loves to just be in your presence, and still has a very playful energy. Magnum is looking for a owner who knows that he is a lifelong commitment, and will let him take naps on the sofa, and will provide him the mental and physical stimulation his young mind needs. Magnum is current on vaccinations, Flea & Tick prevention, but he is Heartworm Positive. Do not let that stop you from meeting him, we can assist with treatment options, and dogs live long healthy lives after treatment. Magnum is a staff favorite and if you meet him you will quickly see why.

RESCUES: If you are a 501c3 in good standing with VDACS and your are interested in pulling Magnum into your rescue, please contact us via email, phone, or messenger. Transport help is available.- Magnum will be neutered prior to adoption.
- We do not cat test at this facility.
- We do require meet and greets with families interested in adopting that have other dogs in the home.
- We do not adopt on a first come first serve basis. We screen our applicants to ensure the best fit for both our shelter pets and your needs as well.
